As a Non-Duke Student/Intern Research Assistant in the Mnemology Lab, you will contribute to groundbreaking research focused on memory, aging, and brain function while collaborating with faculty, researchers, and fellow team members in a supportive learning environment.

The Mnemology Lab, led by Dr. Roberto Cabeza, investigates how the brain represents memory and how these processes change across the lifespan. Learn more about the lab at Mnemology Lab.

Join a dynamic research team and gain hands-on experience supporting an ongoing fMRI study exploring memory and aging. This role offers an opportunity to develop research, analytical, and professional skills while contributing to meaningful scientific discovery.

What You'll Do:

Assist with participant recruitment efforts and respond to recruitment inquiries.
Support ongoing fMRI research activities related to memory and aging.
Attend and actively participate in weekly project meetings.
Conduct data analysis under the guidance of research staff and faculty investigators.
Perform administrative and project support tasks that contribute to study operations.
Collaborate with team members to help ensure successful project completion.

What We're Looking For:

Interest in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, or a related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality work.
Interest in research methods and data analysis.

Work Commitment:

Average commitment of 10-15 hours per week during Fall 2026.
Flexible scheduling based on project needs and student availability.
